Brits are getting more casual in the workplace according to an email survey of 1,700 respondents by Charles Tyrwhitt Shirts, the city’s favourite shirtmaker.
Five years ago 71% of workers were Always Dressed Smart in the workplace, however that ratio has now slumped to only 53% being smartly dressed in the office. 52% today Always Wear a Tie to work compared with 68% 5 years ago, whilst only 38% of workers now wear a suit to work, compared with 56% five years ago.
Dress down Friday is a big thing in Britain, with 72% of British workers dressing more casually on Fridays.
