Good guys BBC Children in Need has launched the first ever ‘BBC Children in Need POP Goes the Musical 2011’ which is coming to you this September. The line up is promised to be star studded and gives celebrities the chance to perform hit songs from top shows. The musical hopes to raise thousands for children and young people in the UK.
Mel C said of the event: “I am so excited to be taking part in ‘Pop Goes The Musical’ for this year’s BBC Children In Need, especially as I will be performing with the cast of the incredible show, We Will Rock You. I have always been a huge Queen fan and standing on the stage of the Dominion Theatre to sing one of the band’s anthems is an absolute honour and a great way raise money for such a fantastic charity.”
BBC Children in Need is a life changing charity that has been improving the lives of young people in the UK for decades. The charity covers difficult issues from poverty, deprivation, disabilities and young people who have been victims of neglect and abuse. The charity is vital in improving the lives of these young people and they couldn’t have achieved what they have without the support of you, the public.
The public’s generosity was shown last year when you raised over £40 million which went to improving the lives of children all over the UK.
The night will be full of good vibes, media networking, fun charity fund raising activities and great pop performances.
