Hold the phone! Rihanna’s gonna be in a film?? A 30 foot high Rihanna on the big screen?? God I hope it’s in 3D! But seriously, Riri is going to be in a film based on the game ‘Battleship’ which is coincidentally called ‘Battleship’.

Having seen a glimpse at the trailer though it’s not going to be 190 minutes of 2 people going ‘B3’ ‘Hit’ ‘D5’ ‘Miss’, it’s actually going to look a bit like ‘Pearl Harbour’ meets ‘War of the Worlds’. It promises to be an epic action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force.

Battleship stars Taylor Kitsch as Lt. Alex Hopper, a Naval officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones; Brooklyn Decker as Sam Shane, a physical therapist and Hopper’s fiancée; Alexander Skarsgård aHopper’s older brother, Stone, Commanding Officer of the USS Sampson; Rihanna as Petty Officer Raikes, Hopper’s crewmate and a weapons specialist on the USS John Paul Jones; and international superstar Liam Neeson as Hopper and Stone’s superior (and Sam’s father), Admiral Shane.

All in all it looks good – I’m just annoyed that I have to wait until April 20th to see Riri in a sailor girl outfit….unless I get invited to the premier of course….
