Following in the footsteps of Scott Disick and Sofia Richie, dating app, Badoo, has revealed that 26% of 18-24-year-olds are looking to date a silver fox or vixen!
Having delved into its database, surveying 10,500 users between the ages of 18 and 24, Badoo has unearthed some surprising stats, in relation to age preference. The study on 10,500 of their users found that:
- 26% of 18-24-year-olds would date someone over the age of 35
- 29% of women have dated someone at least 10 years older
- 12% of Brit’s have set their age range to 50+
- 9% of men would date someone 20 years older
With the ‘Half Plus Seven Rule’ widely known in popular culture (an unwritten rule that asserts that it is creepy to date someone who is younger than half your age, plus 7 years) clearly these tech-savvy swipers are a bunch of rule breakers and these stats couldn’t ring truer amongst the Hollywood elite, who prove that age is nothing but a number…
There is a tremendous 15 year age gap between 19-year-old Sofia Richie and her significantly older beau, Scott Disick. Power couple George and Amal Clooney have almost two decades between them, and Madonna is rarely seen without a slew of younger men on her arm…
So if you’re looking for a silver fox over a young pup; turns out you’re not the only one. Millennials clearly like the idea of dating someone with erm, experience… Download Badoo Now
