Asian Persuasion

Asian Persuasion (real name Sushmita Sarkar) is a makeup blogger for all women of colour, with a strong emphasis on making dark skinned women appreciate their own natural beauty. Her blogs are a combination of frank reviews of makeup products and articles relating all aspects of Asian beauty culture. The blog was inspired when Sushmita picked up a copy of Asian Women magazine in a waiting room and was appalled at the lack of dark skinned Asian models on the pages, as all the models were either fair skinned or of European origin. Hence Asian Persuasion was born with a mission to persuade Asians and the Asian beauty industry to overcome colour prejudice and to appreciate their own heritage. Apart from blogging Sushmita's other hobbies include working out, dancing, cooking, reading and travelling.
