With a life that is finely interwoven into the very fabric of the UK music history there can be no greater ambassador of music on our shores than Radio 1’s Annie Nightingale celebrating 50 years in broadcast music journalism.
As a mark of huge respect to this legend, Ministry of Sound (another force in the UK music industry) got our Annie to drop a three set compilation cd called Masterpiece brimming with some of the greatest tracks she knows. It’s a compilation that educates as well as entertains, featuring tracks from Mick Jagger right through to London Grammar; it’s a tidy, timeless bevy of some of the hottest tracks.
Released on the 17th July I went down to Ministry to celebrate with Annie Nightingale and it was a tidy night fuelled by some of the tracks from Masterpiece which is of course a literal title.
