A*M*E will take to the stage after a new act from Cornwall or Devon has opened the show. Eden has launched a competition for up and coming acts and Jessie J herself will have the final say on who will play on the main stage at Eden in front of nearly 12,000 people over two nights.
Acts can enter by sending a YouTube link showcasing one of their tracks, along with a contact phone number to: jessiejcomp@edenproject.com. Audio visual and audio formats within YouTube are acceptable. Video or audio file attachments will not be accepted as entries.
A shortlist of the best entries will be compiled by Eden Sessions promoter John Empson and top music writers Jackie Butler (Culture Editor of the Western Morning News) and Lee Trewhela (editor of the Cornish Guardian, West Briton and Cornishman’s What’s On supplement). Jessie J will then pick the winner from this shortlist.
The Eden Sessions are entering their 12th year in 2013. Headliners this year are Eddie Izzard (June 3), Kaiser Chiefs (June 29), Sigur Rós (June 30), The xx (July 2) and Jessie J (July 13 and 14). Tickets for Jessie J and A*M*E’s July 14 show are now sold out but a limited number are still available for the July 13 costing £35 plus £5 booking fee.
