Celebrating its fifth year, Afro Nation Portugal reveals its star-studded lineup with major headliners for the summer festival in Portimão.

Afro Nation, the globe’s premier Afrobeats festival, kicks off its fifth-anniversary celebration by announcing Burna Boy and Tems as the lead performers for its 2025 lineup. Scheduled for July 9-11 on the scenic beaches of Portimão, Portugal, the festival promises a riveting experience, blending music, culture, and festivity.

Burna Boy, dubbed the “African Giant,” returns to Afro Nation, bringing a repertoire of worldwide hits and remarkable live performances. After a year filled with accolades, including a number 1 album in the UK, Burna Boy is set to deliver another memorable performance at the festival. Joining him is Tems, making her debut as a headliner. The Grammy-winning artist has been a defining voice in the Afrobeats and Nigerian Alté scenes, following her global recognition from collaborations with Wizkid and appearances on tracks with Beyoncé.

Afro Nation continues to be a cultural powerhouse, uniting the diaspora and celebrating African music, dance, and fashion. With a reach spanning over 160 countries, the festival is full of vibrancy and influences of African culture.
